Are all items Limited Edition?

All items marked as "Exists in only … units" (or any similar specification) are limited edition only.

Every item will be sent with its serial number and an adoption certificate to prove its uniqueness.

Items are shipped randomly: we cannot assure you will get the serial number you want at the moment.

How can I get information on the bag (weight, sizes, etc..)?

When you are inside the product file, this information is labelled under "Product description and Size". Here you can find all kind of information on the item: sizes, type of bag, what it can fit, etc..

What kind of leather do you use?

We only use premium quality Italian leather for all of our bags. Depending on the item, the leather used might be different (full grain, nubuck, etc..).

In every product file, you will find full information about the specific leather used as well as information on the metal fittings.

All of our leathers come either from the Italian region of Tuscany or Veneto. Due to their nature, they react differently to sun, water, skin, etc... and they all have a unique look.

The technique for dying our leather is extremely professional, traditional and done by professional teams in Italy, conscious about the environment.

How do I look after my The Other M bag?

When you purchase a The Other M bag, you will receive a small booklet with care instructions for your bag. The leather might suffer from scratches and color changes over time due to the 100% natural treatment received, it is animal skin so this is completely normal.

Protect your bag at all times, use the dustbag given with the bag as much as you can and avoid direct contact with jagged and scratchy surfaces.

Avoid direct contact with water, sun and chemical products of any kind.

Avoid direct exposure to heat and rubbing of any kind.

For cleaning use a very soft humid cloth (NOT for parts in nubuck) and in case of doubt take it to a trusted leather care shop for advice on cleaning and polishing products.

Are there problems of colour transfer?

Due to the natural treatment done on the raw material, there is the chance that, after rubbing, the leather might transfer to your clothing in the same way your clothes can leave dye traces on your the Other M bag.

In case you see this happening, consult a trusted leather care specialist for treatment of your item for both color fastening or extra protection.

What does the bag come with?

All bags come with some friends:


1) A branded flashlight so that you can always find your way home (or to the nearest mall)
2) A 3000 mHa powerbank for iPhone and Samsung so you will never run out of battery
3) A keyring holder (you can use it also as a handcuffs hanger, or as you please)
4) A branded plexiglass handbag hanger so you’ll never forget it underneath that bar table
5) An adoption certificate to remind you every day of the best day of your (shopping) life

Are goodies replaceable?

All handbags come with 1 piece of each goodie (torch, power bank and bag hanger).

The torch battery can be changed easily whenever it doesn't work anymore.

In case you break or lose one of the goodies, you can contact us on hello@theotherm.com and we can provide you with a new one (charges will apply + shipment cost). You can also buy extra ones if you want them for yourself or your friends!

My torch doesn't work, why?

The torches have a small piece of paper inside the battery case to prevent them from working unnecessarily.

You need to open the bottom of the torch, remove the small piece of paper and close again. Easy peasy!

How does the power bank work?

The power bank needs to be fully charged before use.

You need to connect it via the special black cable to your laptop or any USB power source. When it's charged, it is ready to be used!

On its side, there are 2 cables: one to be used with iPhone and one for Samsung. You'll never run out of battery with this extra charging device always on you!

What do you mean by "adoption"?

The adoption process is how we like to define our purchase process.

We make special limited edition items and they all have their personality.

This is why we aim to match people with the right item and make the purchase even more special and unique.

What is your warranty policy?

Our goal is to make very good items that you can use and enjoy everyday. It is for us a pleasure if you use them as much as you can! Still, you need to take very good care of them if you want them to last for a long, long time :)


Unintented manufacturing defects should show up just after your purchase. In case somehting like this happens, please contact us on hello@theotherm.com and we will be glad to see what happened and how to proceed.

Will my bag come with a dust bag?

Yes, all handbags come with a dustbag to protect your bag at all times and also make your wardrobe even cooler :)

Can I get my item gift wrapped?

All purchases already come packed in a very elegant way! All goodies are inside the bag, the bag is wrapped in silk paper, closed with a funky sticker and inside a very nice box! We think that all purchases should be received as a gift, even if it is just for yourself.

In case it is for someone else, you just need to add a small bow (oh! and a handwritten note for your friend... we can't do that for you ;)

How can I pay for my order?

Payment is only accepted by credit (Visa, Mastercard) and debit (International Maestro, International Visa Electron, UK Visa Electron, UK Debit MasterCard, UK Debit Visa, UK Maestro) and PayPal.

In order to process your order we’ll need to share your payment details with third party service providers, which will be done in accordance with our privacy policy.

Will I have to pay for extra charges after processing my order?

Orders for the "Rest of the World" area are without VAT.

Once the item arrives to your country (outside EU), you will be asked to pay for duty and custom charges in order to get it.

We advise you to contact with your Import Department for further information.

Is VAT included in the price?

Prices for the UK (£) and EU (€) are inclusive of VAT. Prices for the Rest of the World (outside EU) are VAT exclusive.

We also take fraud very seriously and this is why all credit/debit cards holders are subject to validation and authorisation by both us and the card issuer.

In which currency will I be charged?

All orders made for delivery to the UK are charged in pounds, all orders made for delivery in the EU zone are charged in Euros and for the rest of the world they are charged in pounds.

In case you are paying with a card associated to a different currency, your bank will charge you with the change rate of the day.

Check with your bank for further information on foreign exchange rates and extra fees they might charge.

How do I place my order?

Once you select one item and you press the "Adopt me" button, it will be added to your cart.

When you visualise your cart, you will be guided throughtout the whole check out process and payment.

You will have to either create a profile or check out as a guest, select your shipment address and shipment method.

Depending on the final shipment destination, different shipment charges will be applied (check the delivery costs section for further information).

Can I cancel my order?

Once you have placed an order and that your payment is approved, you won't be able to cancel your order. Please check all details carefully before proceeding to the check out.

What if an item is sold out?

With our Limited Edition system, it might be that some items are already sold out when you see them. This will always be specified though, so there is no risk for you.

In case this happens, we hope you will find another item among our offer that you like :)

What if I like a locked item "Available in..." days?

Locked items are items that will be available for purchases in the future (the opening date will be specified on the item).

You can subscribe to our newsletter and we will notify you immediately on the day of the launch of this item so you can be the first to buy it and make it yours. Yay!

Am I supposed to pay duty fees and custom charges upon reception of the goods?

In case your delivery address is a non EU country, you might have to pay custom duty fees once the goods enter your country in order to be delivered.

We are not responsible for these extra fees and we advise you to get in contact with your local customs office for further information on these fees.

How do you deliver goods?

All goods are delivered inside a rigid (very nice, by the way!) The Other M box, with silk paper and all the goodies.

Boxes are delivered inside bubble wrap to make sure your item gets to you in perfect condition in case you want to keep it to store your new adoption :)

What if my order hasn't arrived yet?

Once your order and payment are confirmed via automatic email, you will receive information from the courrier regarding delivery.

You will receive your order tracking number to make sure you can easily locate it and contact with the delivery company in case there are any issues.

Can I change my delivery address?

Once you have approved your order, you cannot change your shipping address so make sure all information is correct.

If you create an account you will be able to save all of your addresses (both for invoice and shipping) and add new ones, remove them or change them at any time for future orders.

Can I track my order/check the status of my order?

When your order is done, you will receive a confirmation email and another one to confirm that payment has been processed.

After this you will be contacted via email by our different delivery companies with a tracking number so you will be able to know at all time where your goods are. For UK it will be handled by DDP, for standard deliveries to Europe and the rest of the world by 13Ten and in the case where you choose express delivery, by Fedex.

How can I return an item?

In the unfortunate and very very sad case (*sigh*) that you need to return a product please send us an email to hello@theotherm.com and we will be happy to give you instructions on how to proceed further.

The returns must nevertheless meet the following criteria (yeah, life sucks...):

1) You have the right to return your item without any reason within 14 days from the date on which you (or a third party indicated by you, e.g. if you’re buying a gift for someone) receive the goods purchased (date established by delivery company upon reception of goods)

2) The product must be in perfect, unused and absolutely impeccable condition

3) Once you send us the email asking for the return, we will send you the final OK and the address where you need to send the parcel

4)You will then have to return the item to us (the customer is viable for all costs, for delivery to our UK warehouse address)

5) Once we receive and inspect the goods, we will refund you on the same credit/debit card used for the payment of the goods

6) Shipping costs are NOT refundable

7) We recommend to use recorded delivery as we are NOT responsible for lost/damaged packages

8) We are NOT able to assure exchanges due to our Limited Edition nature. This is why only refunds are possible.

In what condition must the item be, that I want to return?

We ask you to send us only unused and perfect items. This way, we can also assure to send you likewise perfect products. It's a win-win situation :)

We ask you to check your item as soon as you receive it and, in the case you don't want to keep it, let us know straight away without using it. We reserve the right of considering items "not acceptable for returns".

Send back the item in a very secure and protected box/carton to make sure the goods arrive to us in perfect conditions. In the case that you realise you don't want your item anymore, we advise you to consider the option of reselling it (The Other M items have great resale value, due to their Limited Edition nature) or make the perfect gift to a friend when you forget his/her BD...ooops!

What are your return fees?

You will have to pay for the return to our warehouse based in the UK.

You will need to check with your local postal service or courier for the fees applied for such shipments.

What am I supposed to send back?

In the case you want to return one item, you will have to send back everything in the original packaging, just as you received it (the bag, all its detachable parts, all the goodies, the original packaging, etc…)

How many days do I have to return the item?

You have 14 days from the date of the reception of the goods from your side or the third party you bought the item for (ex. Gift for a friend, etc…)

What is your returns policy?

Our main goal is to generate eternal love between you and your The Other M adoption :) In the case you are not happy with it (a very sad thought but we are aware that it might happen) please email us to hello@theotherm.com and we will email you the address of our UK warehouse where you will have to ship the parcel.

TIME = you have 14 days from the date of reception to send us the email and let us know that you want to return the goods. After this period, no good will be accepted for returns but well, 14 days are enough to open a box, right?

CONDITIONS = We ask you to send us only unused and perfect items. In this way, we can also assure to send you always likewise products. It's a win-win situation :) We ask you to check your item as soon as you receive it and, in the case you don't want to keep it, let us know straight away without using it. We reserve the right of considering items "not acceptable for returns". Send back the item in a very secure and protected box/carton to make sure the goods arrive to us in perfect condition.

EXCHANGE = We are unable to exchange your item due to our Limited Edition nature. For this reason we will refund you on the credit/debit card that you used for the purchase. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

REFUND = Once we receive your item, we will check it carefully to see if it is acceptable for return. When it is all confirmed and OK, we will refund you on the credit/debit card you used for the payment. It might take a few days for you to receive the amount.

EXCEPTIONS = In case you send us goods that cannot be accepted for return, they will be sent back to you at your expense. In case we are not able to give you a refund, we will contact you and forward you pictures of the goods to prove that we cannot accept the refund. In case of receiving a return after 14 days from the date of reception, we will be able to proceed to a refund only at our discretion. Shipping costs and import/custom fees are not refundable. All returns from outiside the EU VAT zone, are DDU (Duties unpaid). We will refuse any goods until any associated fees are paid by the sender.
